I think im pregnant.... AGAIN! :( HELPPP

its been 3 1/2 months since DD was born. i breastfed for 2 months, planning on going longer but i dried up. we have only had sex 3 times, and every time we used a condom. but its been on my mind soo much and im terrified. i want to get an iud but the dr says i have to wait till i get my first period before i can get it. i still haven't gotten a period and i know that when you breastfeed its delayed.

 

yesterday i had some light spotting and was like YES! but then it stopped and i had some cramps only on my right side.

im freaking out because i had implantation bleeding with autumn thinking it was my period (cramps on left side, "period" for 10 min) and the memory is all too familiar.

 

took tests and still negative. any advice?

That you're getting your period.  If you've been safe, are BFing, and got negative tests, stop freaking yourself out.

Wait a week and POAS again or call your dr and ask for advice, maybe they will do bloodwork. Did you go back on any kind of birth control? Do you have any other reason to think you are pg? If you used condoms every time the chances are pretty small you are actually pg again.

no. no birth control, just condoms. and the only reason i think i might be is because of the spotting (because i thought the first AF was supposed to be heavy) and the slight cramping that reminds me of implantation symptoms i had last year. no more spotting either. its over. so no period still.

your cycle can be pretty wonky for a while after giving birth.  I wouldn't freak out just yet.  Spotting off and on can be normal for while.  Now if you weren't using condoms that would be different.

I'd say wait a week and see if AF shows or test again. Other than that there isn't much you can do. Good luck!

If the test is negative, you most likely are not pregnant.

condoms = non-hormonal birth control

I was wondering this too.  I get mine tomorrow, and still no AF for me.

 Try not to freak out.  FWIW, all three time I've been pregnant, the beginning signs were different.  I freaked myself out a lot between DS and DD by having the same issue, feeling "symptoms" that I'd had with early pregnancy with DS and assuming it meant the same thing.  Like PPer said, your cycle will be wonky and your body will react differently now than it did before.  If you've been safe, don't consider yourself pregnant until you've got the BFP in hand!
