Yesterday morning I was at work alone. I was just sitting there when all of a sudden my heart started racing, I got all hot, sweaty and dizzy. I started to walk down the hall to get the stethescope and I almost passed out! I sat down again and counted my heartrate. It was at 240! I think normal is like 70 or 80. My HR eventually went down to 120 but stayed that way the whole morning. When my coworker came in I called my doctors and went in a few hours later.
The doctor said shes concerned about how high my HR was but it can be normal to be faster during pregnancy. I have my first prenatal appt next Wed so she said we'd talk more about it then. So I'm not sure what the heck that was about but I asked if we could use the doppler. And its aliiiiive =D I've been trying to hold back until I hear LOs heart just with all my bleeding/spotting and now I'm just ecstatic! I'm going to wait to annouce this pregnancy until I hear the heart again next week, just in case though.
So, that is all lol. Thanks again to everyone who supported me when I was freaking out a few months ago!
Re: Scary morning yesterday (update on my pregnancy)
1st tri kinda flew right by! Now that I sorta know this LO is for real I've really got to get a move on with selling my house and buying a new one. Eek! Big changes freak me out!
How are you and DH doing with this pregnancy?
BFP #2 5/27/12. EDD 2/1/13. m/c and D&C 6/21/12.
Sorry so scary! Hope that doesn't happen again. And, I'm so glad you heard the heartbeat. That is super exciting.
That sounds very similar to what happened to me throughout my pregnancy with Jack. It started in my 2nd tri and would happen 5-10x per day every day until I had him.
It's why I had to take FMLA time and eventually lost my job.
I hope that it isn't that severe for you! Just keep telling your Dr. if it keeps happening. Mine brushed it off for months and told me that it was anxiety. But I knew it was more than that, so I kept pushing it and was eventually diagnosed with supine hypotensive syndrome. I had to see a cardiologist and wear an event monitor and everything. I hope that yours was just a one time event, because it's scary and exhausting.
Thanks for all the love=)
Kellina- thanks for the advice. I have been craving salt and vinegar chips lol. Time to stock up on chips=)
Halo- totally didn't know that about your first pregancy! How scary for you=(. Hopefully it doesn't happen with your next pregnancy.
I'm so nervous to tell people IRL! I feel like I'll jinx it or something. I still want to wait tilI I'm officially in 2nd tri. Such a worry wart.
I really hope your U/S and counseling session go ok!
