How do I do this safely?

Whenever my LO sleeps or lays down (in the swing, bouncer, etc), he seems to favor resting his head on the right side. I am concerned that he is going to develop a flat spot on this side of his head, but I don't know how to safely get him to have his head rest on the left side too.
Does anyone have any experience with this?

  • My pedi told us to roll up a swaddle blanket and wedge it behind him to keep him slightly on his side. Just don't put it too far under him that it would make him flip over. Then make sure you're switching sides each time he lays down. It worked well for us. GL

We do the same thing, because of DS's head getting a little flat on the right side.

  • Boppy also makes a pillow called the Noggin Nest that you can put behind your baby in swings and seats...it is like a firm pillow with the center cut out.  It gets really good reviews.
