Two Under 2

I am SO tired....

I am so tired--will be 27 weeks tomorrow.  Along with my 10 month old son, I also take care of another baby the same age 4 days per week.  Last pregnancy, I remember hitting a wall and realizing just how much energy I had in the 2nd tri (I didn't realize it during) when I hit the 27 week mark.  This time, it started last week...  I know I am going to be even more exhausted once baby #2 comes.  How do you mamas deal with the exhaustion during pregnancy while taking care of your other child(ren)?  I know I HAVE to deal with it and I WILL deal with it, but man oh man....

  • I'm in the same boat, and it's very frustrating.

I feel like I can't get anything done properly and my 17 month old is wearing me out!

  • I dont miss those times! Hang in there mama!

Ways to deal with exhaustion are daily exercise, lots of vitamin B, and eating a healthy, balanced diet with lots of protein. Oh, and a small cup of coffee in the morning to get me moving. Smile

  • I am in the same boat...I'm 23 weeks along, have a 13month old, and watch an 8month old 50 hours/week.  I was in tears last night talking to DH because I am JUST.SO.TIRED!!

I try to go for walks, and drink a cup of coffee in the morning, but it doesn't really seem to help!

  • I'm right there with you. I'm sitting here thinking that I have no idea how I'm going to take care of my kids for the next 15 weeks. I can get my 2yo to curl up in my lap and watch Dora or Caillou for half an hour while my 1yo naps, so sometimes I manage a 15 or 20-minute nap that way. But, sometimes she spends half the time asking me if I'm asleep or if I'm still comfy, etc. And when I do nap that way I wake up cranky because I wasn'texactly comfortable and didn't get enough sleep. Sigh.....we will all manage, even if it doesn't feel like it. (Right?)

Yes, we are all going to manage--because we have to! haha  I keep thinking, oh man, I need to keep going for another 13 weeks!  Although, DS1 was born 14 days late--that had better not happen with this one!
