I have a ton of great clothes from my 6 mo daughter, a lot of about 156 items, Gap, Old Navy, Carters, Gymboree and CP and then some mixed items (Babies R Us, Walmart). Do I price it per item?
1/3 of the things are brand new on hangers with tags
1/3 are brand new but have been washed
1/3 were gentl;y used
Any advice would be greatly appreciated!
Re: Any tips on selling clothes via Craigslist or Ebay?
I would start by listing things on Craigslist since its free and you probably won't have to worry about packaging and shipping. I usually list stuff on Craigslist for a couple of weeks and if there are no takers, I proceed to e-bay.
It sounds like you have a lot of pieces, so I would not price per item necessarily, unless there are a few "outfits" that you would prefer to get a specific amount for. (Those things I usually list on e-bay b/c they sell for more $$ than most people of craigslist are willing to pay)
You could just decide how much you want total, and list for that. It might be helpful to break it up into a few smaller lots of clothes: 0-3 months, 3-6 months, or by season. Fall/Winter, Spring/Summer
Also, you may want to ask for a little more than you want because inevitably someone will ask you if you will sell it for less. If you don't get any takers at the higher price, you can always relist lower.
