Re: Questions that came to me over the weekend:
Looking forward to it! Time will pass so quickly!
Would you say that your child/ren has more whites, lights, or darks regarding clothing? Can that color take up a whole wash?
The older 3 have more darks (blues, purples, darker pinks) but the baby has mostly lights.
What is your child/ren's favorite breakfast? Beverage? Fruit? Veggie? Meat?
A - Omelet, apple cider, pineapple, carrots, ribs.
Iz - Eggs and toast, apple juice, bananas, broccoli, ham.
Owl - Dry cereal with a sippy cup of milk, milk, oranges, asparagus, chicken.
Apple - Formula, formula, none yet, none yet, none yet.
Does/do your child/ren get jealous of your display of affection to your DW/DP? If so, how do s/he/they display it?
A used to when we first got together but now she is grossed out by it, none of the kids show jealousy over it right now.
What are your views on TV and computers in the classroom?
I think they can be beneficial if used appropriately. A movie related to current subject matter = good, educational websites = good. A movie just for the heck of it more than a few times a year = bad.
If your child/ren watch TV what is their favorite program?
The kids don't regularly watch TV but we try to have a movie night once a week, they usually pick Spy Kids.
Singing and dancing children in this audience?
OMG yes! Iz is an attention hoarder, she will act a fool to get everyone's attention, including singing and dancing, whatever it takes to get people to look at her.
Does your child prefer to be barefoot, socks only, sandals only, shoes only, or socks and sandals/shoes?
A and Iz are my barefoot babies (just like me), Owl doesn't speak so I have no idea what she prefers and we haven't tried to put shoes on Apple yet.
Those with daughters, can you tell if she will like clothes/shoes/dressing up? Do you foresee her as a diva?
A likes to be fashionable but she isn't a diva at all, she prefers Vans over other girly shoes and jeans/stretchy pants and tees over dresses most of the time. Iz (being the typical 4 year old) comes out in some CRAZY mismatched outfits when we let her dress herself, she has a diva attitude but not the style yet.
Those with sons, the same question as eight, but do you forsee him as sensitive?
N/A
And last, but definitely not least, how does your child/ren react with a poopy diaper? Runs from you when you go to change him or her? Demands that you change it right away (crying would fall in here)? Could care less?
Owl - We don't know she is wet or pooped unless we check or she wets through her diaper. I don't know if she doesn't mind the yuck or if she doesn't tell us because her speech isn't there.
Apple - She is a crier, loud and angry.

A and Iz went through a phase where fart and burp were insanely funny (to them) and said way too often, they would often push farts and burps out in order to be even funnier. J and I let it go on for a little while until it got to be too much, too often and then we had a talk with them about being polite and how what they were doing wasn't funny to everyone. We all occasionally joke about burps and farts but we try to keep it under control so the kids don't get too out of hand.

If your child can talk already, is fart or burp part of his/her vocabulary? Is it funny or is it serious? Do you not say anything? (How much of a kid are you when it comes the passing of gases *smile*? ) They don't know the word "fart" - they say their bottom burped. I have no idea where they got that. LOL. But they are at the age where they think poop, pee, bottom are HYSTERICAL words. No, I don't find bathroom humor funny.
Time has been going so fast already, we can't wait to meet our little girl
Eli probably has more darks at this point and Lex more lights. We don't separate their clothes from ours, but if we did we probably could still do a whole wash.
Eli likes grape nuts with plain yogurt and fruit for breakfast, or eggs. He only drinks water, breast milk and cow's milk, but seems to really like all three. He loves all fruit, but I think blueberries are is favorite. Spinach is probably his favorite veggie. Lex likes pancakes or eggs or Kix for breakfast. She only drinks water, breast milk and formula. She loves all fruit--I think blackberries might be her favorite though. She doesn't seem to have a favorite veggie--seriously, this kid just likes to eat she doesn't appear to care what it is that she is eating
No, Eli gets really happy, but wants to be part of the hug or kiss too
Depends on the age and the use. I think that they can both be great educational tools if used right--but we are definitely still in the no screen time ages.

Eli has just started singing and dancing on command--so cute. Lex loves music and bobs up and down during the singing at church.
Barefoot or in our shoes
Oooh, too early to tell.
I think Eli is a little sensitive. He likes to do as much of his own dressing as possible, but doesn't seem to care what he is wearing.
Pre-potty-training, Eli didn't really care. Lex wants to be changed STAT!

Not yet, but we are right on the verge of this with Eli. I think it is funny, but we are trying to watch what we say around him.
more lights, but I usually don't separate them, and all of our clothes are washed in Tide anyway.
Breastmilk
No.
They're just starting to notice/be jealous of each other
I think its OK in moderation, computers especially. Their daycare doesn't have TV at all.
baby einstein on YouTube
Q LOVESSSS when you sing and dance for her.
They love to play with their BARE feet. socked feet are no fun.
Oooh, too early to tell.

A HATES a poopy diaper. Q doesn't care so much.

I hate potty humor. This is going ot be a big issue I think.

If your child can talk already, is fart or burp part of his/her vocabulary? Is it funny or is it serious? Do you not say anything? (How much of a kid are you when it comes the passing of gases *smile*? ) Ky cannot say any of those words yet but I have a feeling we will have a hard time not laughing the first time she says them. She can already say boobies and butt which I just sigh and let go now because at least she can name LOTS of body parts...

If your child can talk already, is fart or burp part of his/her vocabulary? Is it funny or is it serious? Do you not say anything? (How much of a kid are you when it comes the passing of gases *smile*? ) We call it 'toot' in our house and RB has dubbed burps as "mouth toots". Its cute
At this point there is no silliness with the potty talk (RB doesnt get it as funny yet so Sprout has no one to share the humor with) but we treat it as nuetral. Nothing wrong with talking about it in the right context and environment.

Would you say that your child/ren has more whites, lights, or darks regarding clothing? More darks/colors Can that color take up a whole wash? Yes. However I'll throw her colored bath towels in there too. Or throw in some of my clothes sometimes.
What is your child/ren's favorite breakfast? She has eaten a banana almost every day of her life (well since starting solids). Right now she also really like whole grain blueberry waffles (plain, no butter or syrup).
Beverage? Water. Juice is a treat and I only give it to her very watered down.
Fruit? She isn't picky when it comes to fruit. However, blueberries are her crack.
Veggie?Hmmm...technically tomatoes are fruit, huh?
Meat? Chicken
Does/do your child/ren get jealous of your display of affection to your DW/DP? If so, how do s/he/they display it? Yes. She finds it funny though, not upsetting. If we are hugging she usually runs over and says "ug, ug."
What are your views on TV and computers in the classroom? They both have a place and a time but must be used appropriately. And for me it depends on the age. JB has neither in her class room but I won't care if she gets a raining day movie when in grade school.
If your child/ren watch TV what is their favorite program? TV is limited for her but she LOVES Signing Time. She requests it constantly but signing "Signing Time."
Singing and dancing children in this audience? She definitely claps to music. She'll sing with K. And she dances a lot.
Does your child prefer to be barefoot, socks only, sandals only, shoes only, or socks and sandals/shoes? No preference. She is opinionated about which shoes she wears however.
Those with daughters, can you tell if she will like clothes/shoes/dressing up? Do you foresee her as a diva? See above. She cares about shoes. The rest of her cloths, not so much yet.
And last, but definitely not least, how does your child/ren react with a poopy diaper? She tells me she has poop.
Runs from you when you go to change him or her? No, she had that phase but it seems to be over. Particularly since now she is PTing.
Bonus question:
If your child can talk already, is fart or burp part of his/her vocabulary? Is it funny or is it serious? Do you not say anything? The words are not part of her vocab. But if one of us (including her) farts she says "poop" and laughs.
