Cloth diapering on vacation

How do you handle going away on vacation? It won't be a problem when we visit my parents, but what about when staying in a hotel?

If it's for the weekend, we take a couple of pail liners, use up our stash and wash when we get home. If it's longer than a weekend, and we won't have access to a washer/dryer, we use sposies. Absence certainly makes the heart grow fonder in this case.

If we're staying with people, we bring cloth.

If we're in a hotel and we won't have an opportunity to do laundry easily, we buy disposables. My baby isn't sensitive to them.

Since the water is different in Hawaii and we don't feel like washing diapers on vacation, our plan is to use the local diaper service while we're there.  Our other thought is to consider using g-diapers disposable inserts with the gpants and thirsties duo covers we're getting/have.  I'll have to crunch the numbers and see what works out better for us financially.

I was already thinking about this with our beach vaca this summer.  I think I'll save the disposables I have onhand now and use them.  I don't want to deal with cleaning poopy diapers while away, plus I'll be 34 wks prego so I'll want that time to sleep instead!

For a weekend trip, especially just to visit family, we take a big wet bag with us and bring all the diapers home to wash them.  When we go to Florida next month for a week we will use disposables due to the logistics of washing the diapers, not to mention trying to be conscious of packing space since we're flying.  We used sposies the first two weeks and E did fine, so we aren't worried about how she'll do with them.

Have you used the gDiapers with the disposable inserts yet? That seems like the way to go. I wonder if those inserts will work with my Thirsties Duo covers?
