3rd Trimester

Just want to vent for a sec

I'm kind of sad.  DH lost his wedding ring tonight somewhere between the restaraunt we had dinner and the grocery store.  We looked all over both places and left phone numbers to call if it's found.  It's just sad because I am pretty sure it's gone for good.  We don't have the money to replace it right now and even replacing it is not the same.  Also I was having a bad day anyway.  I went off on some teenage boys in the grocery store who almost hit me with their cart (that felt kind of good Smile).  Anyway I also should have never told my sister and my mom that I was 3cm and 80%effaced because now there calling 3-4 times a day going still hanging in there? any action? I just want to scream because I am having horrible cramps and contractions that aren't equalling labor, which is fine because it's early but I don't want to have to deal with these cramps and contractions for weeks cause they are miserable.  It feels like someone is ringing my insides, and my mother and sister are driving me crazy.  They tell me they are getting antsy.  um hello? Okay, it felt good to get that out.  Everyone cross their fingers that DH's wedding band shows up.  It almost makes me want to cry, pathetic I know.

  • If it makes you feel better, I used to work nights at a restaurant. People would lose things all the time. Once we closed and turned all the lights up to clean, we'd find a lot of people's stuff! Maybe that will happen tonight with your hub's ring :-(

And, I will be sure to tell NO ONE when I am dilated... I couldn't stand having people call me all the time because they were "anxious."

  • lol yeah I didn't realize my mom and sister would be that annoying about it or I wouldn't have told them either.
  • Oh and not to mention as soon as I told my mom she announced it in the breakroom at her work and my sister is telling people too so the whole city knows the condition of my cervix lol, gotta love it.
  • My father lost his wedding ring and had no idea where he lost it.  That Valentine's day my Mom bought him a replacement ring that they could afford as a gift.

About 2 years later he was digging in the backyard by a tree and saw a flash.  The sun had hit something just right...his wedding ring.

He wore both of those rings until the day he died.

Here's hoping someone sees a flash soon and your hubbs gets his ring back :)

  • I hope your DH's wedding ring shows up.

I am not sure if you are Catholic or not but if you are pray to Saint Anthony to find the ring and make a small offering in the poor box.  He is the patron saint of lost and stolen articles.

There is no way I am telling anyone other than DH and mom when I am dilated.  My mom is driving me crazy already.  She had both me and my sister exactly 3 weeks early and she is saying I will do the same.  Freak I hope not because that means Sunday I will be having a baby.  Nope not ready!!!!  I am hoping she stays in there for at least 2 more weeks.

  • Sorry about the lost wedding ring. I've heard of lots of things like that showing up when you least expect it though. My mom lost a ring while washing her car. My dad found it after driving 3 hours - it was sitting on top of the car around one of the wiper fluid vent things on the hood. Crazy.

My DH lost his about 4 months after we got married and it never did show up, but I got him another one for our first anniversary and he really takes a lot better care of it now.
