Help! I have a cold!

I just had my son a week ago today and I have the worst cold!!! My eyes are leaking green fluid, I have a cough, an on again/off again fever, runny nose, very sore throat, and I have lost my voice. I am wearing a mask and being sure to wash my hands before touching him. I have also tried to keep my distance, but it is breaking my heart to not be able to talk to him or hold him that much. Plus, my husband goes back to work tomorrow and I will be the only one here to care for him. Is there ANYTHING I can do? Am I worrying for nothing? Is my baby even at risk to catch this from me?

 

Oh, and I am bottle-feeding....so he isn't getting the anti-bodies breast milk provides...Crying

    I would go to the docs and get some meds, so that it is less chance to give it to your LO.

    i just got over a cold similiar to yours! i was so worried my baby would get it as well but my family and doctor assured me that they are pumped so full of fighters that its unlikely unless you sit there and spit on them etc... the mask and washing hands of course is good.  i would still go to the doctor just so you might beable to get healthy quicker but take it easy, stress does more damage to you and your baby then this cold will.  feel better and good luck!!
