running pregnant motivation

hi ! 

 

i run pretty much everyday & have for years(excluding first tri due to no motivation,, gah ! thank god it's over with !!) so nothing new with the pregnancy, except for the world ! people expect us to hibernate or something but im still running strong.. :)

 

anyhow, i look to other moms/blogs for motivation & have found like ZERO on running pregnant -- i might start a pregnant running blog myself but hoped to follow yours for motivation if any of you have them or suggestions for motivation...

  • i'm right there with you! ugh, it's so hard to get back into a routine of running. i just finished a work out and each time i promise myself to make it a 4-5x a week thing.

  • I just want to say good for you ladies! and I am so jealous.  I am a runner, but since having a loss in Aug, after getting the BFP this time around I was too scared to run.  Part of it is due to the 1st time the Dr told me keep my HR under 140...and I still tried to run/walk (HR getting to around 150 at max) this time I was too scared, so I just started walking (but xmas, a longer drive to the gym and cold winter weather got in the way) I rejoined a closer gym and have slow started up walking again.  I soo miss running and want to so bad, but I am just to scared.  Keep at it ladies!
  • I've never considered myself a runner. You will never find me running a marathon. However, I do like to jog on the treadmill for 2.5 - 3 miles a couple days a week. The motivation is slipping.

    They have forums and there is a Pregnant Runners thread that I was following until I had to quit running. Being on there was just depressing me because I wanted to run so bad but my body didn't agree! That said I got out for 3miles tonight with the puppy and it was amazing! With the exception of some dampness... Embarrassed

  • I'm 20 weeks and still running 3x a week. About 2-3 miles each time. Some days are hard, some days are awesome. I've had friends run up until they went into labor and I hope I can run as long as possible, or I might go nuts. Yoga is much too boring for me!
