As a Pro-lifer re:SGK/PP

I will be the first to say that even though I'm a conservative and pro-life, I think miseducation is what makes most pro-lifers cringe when it comes to PP. I've heard that SGK donates to PP before all this went down, and I've read articles about how most PPs don't perform mammograms and what-not. All the controversy regarding PP-SGK made me do some research to see what breast cancer services PP offers, and it seems legit to me. If there was a cover-up of funds and backdoor deals for abortions with the SGK funds, believe-you-me, conservatives would be screaming about it on national news.

I guess the bottom-line is that I wish more conservatives would think critically before showing their a$$ about stuff they really don't know about. I've kept out of the SGK posts over the past few days because I wasn't sure if I would be labeled a hypocrite or not for being okay with PP's healthcare for women but not for abortions. But really, I don't think THIS issue is a pro-abortion issue and it was stupid for SGK to try to turn it into one.

You would  be a hypocrite if you called yourself pro-life and then weren't upset about 200,000 mothers, sisters, wives, and daughters a year having access to breast cancer screening.

LOL, how can we be anti-BC and anti-sex at the same time? Dateline even did a special about Sex in America and the people who claimed to have the most sex and most fulfilling sex lives were the evangelicals.

Oh, I do. I was raised in the Christian Right. No sex, no movies, no dancing. Sex for women=procreation. Sex for men=the woman pleasuring him because it's her wifely duty.

Wow, I guess my church experiences haven't been as "far right" as I thought.

My best friend works for Komen. The grants only go to PPs that provide mamograms in areas where there are NO OTHER facilities that offer free or low cost mamograms. So places where PP is the ONLY OPTION is who gets the funds. Who can argue with the legitimacy of that? I'm conservative too, and I don't get it.
