whats your thoughts? im thinking about getting it and want to make sure i know everything about it before getting it... and how much is it to get it removed if i didnt want it for 5 years? i have medical

I have heard its no harder to get it out than to put it in... I am just not comfy with something being up there, personally. I have heard, however that most people really like it.

**lurking**. I have it and Love it! I ended up stalling until my LO was 6 months old, then I got it placed. It is easier to get it placed while on your period, or that is what I have heard. Just expect the spotting/bleeding for a few weeks. It could last up to 6 months. Once i had mine placed i ended up spotting for 5-6 weeks and have not had any bleeding since. No period or anything. Hope this helps!

I had it for 2 years before I got it out to TTC.  I LOVED it and am planning to get another one placed on the 13th of this month.  Because I had a c-section, my insurance wouldn't cover it until I was 8 weeks PP as opposed to 6 weeks for vaginal delivery.  If you are asking how much it cost to have it removed, when I had my first one removed, all it cost was whatever my copay was.  It took like 5 seconds to remove.  I got pregnant the next month, so it definitely doesn't affect fertility.
