Help? (And don't kill me...)

Seriously.  Help a girl out.

I cannot fix this &8&^%^ing signature!  I've searched every board and FAQ, done everything I'm supposed to do.  But it's just NOT UPDATING!  After two hours, I'm ready to throw my computer across the room and just forget about coming back to these boards.

When I click on "my bump" on the left, it always makes me login (even when it says I'm already logged in before).  When you click on my name in a post, which should take you to my profile, I get an error page.  I think the problem is that I had an old profile/signature from 2 years ago on this account, from before they updated the whole profile system.  Somehow my old signature is still stuck in the source code. 

HELP!  I feel so stupid posting with this old signature! ARRRRGH.  Has anyone else dealt with this problem?

::EDIT WITH ANSWER::  After all of your great suggestions didn't work, I posted to the "New to the Bump" board in the hope that a moderator might jump in.  Sure enough!  Thanks to Dr. Loretta and Ambsies, I know that the problem is with my old screen name, which has a number in it--I guess that caused a glitch in the transfer to the new profiles.  SO, customer service should be able to help me.  No idea how long it will take--please be patient with my old siggy until they figure this out!

Do it via one of your posts. Click on your avatar in this post and it'll take you to your profile. Then at the top is an edit sig. if it's not there click message board on your profile and then edit sig should be at the top. Hope that helps.

I tried that the very first time--it's how I used to update my profile.  BUT, it doesn't do anything--I just get an error message when I click on my name (This user is not recognized. Please try another link).

So Frustrated.  I feel horrible posting with this ridiculously old photo.

Thanks!  I'd found that already--definitely done all of that.  Biggest problem is that my profile doesn't seem to exist.  However, I just posted to the NTTB board with Ambsies name in it--maybe she'll have an idea?

I'm not much help but will say I had the same issues with errors messages for weeks and was so frustrated I could scream. I wonder sometimes if it's b/c I have a Mac computer & that's the reason. I still can't get my post to work properly at times. Anyway, I feel your frustration & GL! (this is my first post from my phone I hope it works)

Anyway, once you're logged in, click on 'my bump' again.  There should be an option to edit your avatar & signature.

Yup, all edited and updated.  Until I post!  Then, the only signature/avatar that shows up is my old one, with no link at all to my profile.  Arrgh.

Maybe it's because I'm on a Mac?

I'm on a Mac too!  Maybe I'll try a PC in the computer lab when I can get there--maybe tomorrow.  It's just so frustrating!  Thanks for understanding.
