Anyone have a C-Section at Northside Hospital Forsyth?

Hi everyone,

I am new to the area, have been seeing midwives at Northside for the last few months, but recently found out that I will need a c-section due to baby being breech. I haven't gotten to know the doctors at Northside since my appointments weren't with them - was wondering if anyone else has had a c-section there and by which doctor? Any recommendations or expreience? Thanks in advance!!

Re: Anyone have a C-Section at Northside Hospital Forsyth?

  • I had one 2 years ago this Sunday.  I was with PW's and none of those Dr's did my c-section.  My water broke so it wasn't the planned date we originally scheduled.  The Dr's at this hospital are in rotation per the practice.  So even if you find a Dr they are not going to do it IF you go early.

C Sections are so common nowadays the surgery is a breeze.  The staff is FABULOUS at this hospital. I was the only one in the recovery room when I had my 2nd.  My first was at Northside ATL and they had people in the hall way.  You will love this hospital and staff.

  • I had a c-section there last January. Everyone was great and I really enjoyed how everything was explained. I also was glad they did my epidural in my room before taking me back to the operating room, so I was only away from my husband for maybe 5 minutes. It only took 25 for everything and I went straight to recovery for 2 hours.

The hospital itself is very clean and new. If you have any questions you can email me at ellasmom11811 at gmail dot com.

  • I had one there last December due to a breech baby and I loved that place!

I was planning all along to deliver at Northside Atlanta, but I had to go right from the doctor's office to the hospital to get the baby out due to low fluid and my doctor was delivering there that day, so I had the choice of going to Atlanta and having one of the other doctors in the practice deliver or going to Forsyth for my doctor to deliver.

We went there b/c I was already so nervous and I LOVE my doctor, so that helped ease my fears to have her deliver my little guy.  I don't know how often she is up there, but my doctor is Dr. Anand at North Atlanta Women's Specialists and I can not rave about her enough.

Good Luck--it was a wonderful hospital and I received such great care there.  We have already decided if we have another we will go up there for the C-section again.  It isn't near us, but that was how happy we were with the hospital.
