Babies: 0 - 3 Months

Spouse time

Any other moms out there that feel like they never get any quality time with their husbands? This is even after baby is down for the night. Any tips? I'm getting a little depressed here :-(

Re: Spouse time

  • How old is your child?  What time do they go down?  My son just turned one but we learned that we needed to talk and figure out how we could do things together and alone as DS grew.  It was a big adjustment for us both that needed time and lots of communicating.  Now that things are in a routine we ask each other to do certain things and we get a sitter to head out together.  My advice...talk about it with him and see what you guys can do to make some time together!  GL!

Baby is almost 3 months old. Goes to bed between 7/8pm. Hubby is also tired at this time and goes to bed as well. So I am alone, not fun.

  • We always talk before we sleep.. We have to just make time where we are turned off from technology.. Cell, computer, tv...snd just talk. We also get mil to babysit so we can go out, even if for just a movie

If he finds time to be on the computer a lot then you really need to find time to talk with him. It's so important for you, him (even if he doesn't know it yet), your marriage and in turn your family. To many of my friends have warned me about this, so we have made a conscious effort to not forget who we were before our LO arrived and to continue fulfill each others needs ie. talking, hugging, kissing, touching and even sex. Can't say we've perfected it because sometimes we just get to busy, but at least I know that we are both trying. Good luck!

  • we started recording a show or two on our DVR and then watching them together after LO goes to bed.
