Has anyone used the Ergo Carrier without the infant insert?

I was going to try or maybe use a blanket instead of the infant insert. I know they recommend the insert for infants younger than 3 months. We didn't get the Ergo until my DS was much older so didn't experience it. Any advice would be appreciated! Tia!

I did and it worked fine. I just froggied her legs up (like I do in the Moby or the ring sling) and it worked fine. Although I will say that there was very little head support. but she has a strong neck and was just looking around. I don't use it when I'm doing chores etc though because when I bend over I have to support her head. So I mostly use it for taking walks and use the Moby or ring sling around the house.
