Marks from Diaper Tape?

Came home from work yesterday, and DS has three dark pink straight lines/scrapes on his hip.  Our nanny said it was from diaper tape and his movements.  After she left, when we were diapering him, we couldn't think of how these marks would have been so substantial and where they are from diaper tape.  

Has your little one ever had marks that last from diaper tape rubbing on their hips?

Yes actually. My two year old gets them all the time because he loves trying to pull his diaper off under his clothes, so it gets all bunched up and irritates his skin.

Yes, DD1 got a small rash/mark from the velcro of the diaper tape. We used Desitin to clear it up and went up a size in the diaper.

i find if i undo the diaper and leave the tabs tucked into his hips...(because he lifts his legs up)...and then i try pulling the diaper off the tabs tend to "stick" a bit to his skin and once when i pulled too hard it left red marks on his skin! so now i have to put his legs down or else make sure the tabs aren't stuck in the crease before i pull the diaper away.

maybe that's what she's doing??

This has happened to us as well.
