I was walking in the school hallway today. While looking at the artwork of the Kindergarten.........I saw a pretty strange name on one! Rooster. I did a double take, and sure enough the childs name is Rooster!

Maybe (hopefully!) it's a nickname? There's a little boy at S's daycare who goes by the name Moose (it's apparently a family name, and is actually his middle name). But his real first name is Isaac. So at least the kid has that to fall back on when he's older...

Are you sure it's not Kamil? That's a pretty name but the pronunciation is really butchered and does end up sounding like camel.
