Do you have defined "family values"?

I just started a parenting class and our first homework assignment is to write out our family values.  This is proving harder than I though because I've never really thought about approaching parenting from this direction.  If you've done a similar exericise or thought concretely about your family's values, can you give me examples?  My hope is that I could use them as a jumping board to figure out what my family's values are or what I want them to be.

We don't have a family manifesto or anything, but I can throw out some ideas...maybe talk about education as a priority, cooperation to get household tasks done, respect for each other, religion (if you have any), loyalty to each other, work ethic, attitude...

It's through my DS's school but follows the "Active Parenting" approach.  Check out www.activeparenting.com  According to their website they offer classes all over the US or you can do it online.
