Shameful confession

Confession - I love trashy tv.  I'm watching Toddlers & Tiaras and occasionally DH yells from the other room, "You swear you're not doing that to our future kid... right???"

    I watch reruns of T&T on my days off because it is like a train wreck and you just have to watch! I like to think of it as tips on what not to do once I have a LO.

    Dx: Endometriosis(2000) & Uterine Fibroids
    Sept 2012-March 2013: TTA for surgery & recovery; surgery removed: neuroendocrine tumor & 30% of pancreas, 
    endo on diaphragm & in abdomen, & uterine septum
    April 2013: 5mg Femera - IUI cancelled
    May 2013: Cycle cancelled; CD3 estradiol levels too high
    June 2013: Cycle cancelled; umbilical hernia found; surgery to repair
    July 2013: IUI #1.2 - 5mg Femera + trigger = BFN
    Aug 2013: IUI #2 - 5mg Femera + trigger = BFN
    Nov 2013: surgery to remove 8cm fibroid from uterus & clean up endo
    March 2014: IVF #1 - Gonal F & Menopur; retrieved 12 eggs; 6 fertilized; 0 made it to blast
    moving on to DE
    July 2014: FET #1 w/ DE; cancelled due to clots in uterus; hysteroscopy to remove fibroid.
    Hopefully beginning FET #1.2 in late August/early Sept.

    So glad I'm not alone!  My mom tried to get me addicted to real housewives over the holidays, and I'm so glad I usually miss it because those those Orange County ladies are addictive.  I mean - I can only devote so many hours/week to trash!

    I do too. I watch tons of trashy shows! DH will walk into the room and his first comment is usually "we are not watching this" lol :)

    Oh I love the bachelor and kardashians!! I really can't stand any of the kardashians but it's drama filled so I love watching it! DH tells me constantly that I'm losing brain cells by just watching! Lol

    Big trashy/reality TV fan.

    I cannot stop watching most of the E!, Bravo, or Teen Mom/16 and Pregnant programming.  

    I try to watch it during my lunch so that I don't get "look" from DH...

    Oh Gawwwd! I love trash TV. 

     My confession is that DH was going to be out of town one night this week for work and I was slightly disappointed when his trip was cancelled because I was looking forward to a guilt free TV marathon including Dance Moms, I Didn't Know I was Pregnant and Tori & Dean.

    The only one I can't watch is Hoarders. I feel itchy all over when I watch that one.

    My embarrassing TV habit is that if DH is still asleep when I get home from work in the morning, I'll watch some Judge Judy or Maury.  Especially if I had a bad day or I'm feeling depressed.  If nothing else, it helps me keep my problems in perspective.

    Ok, so I don't like most of the reality shows, but even though (or maybe because) I'm absolutely terrified of flying and yet have to do it regularly because I live overseas and my family is in the US, I watch all the shows about plane crashes (Mayday, Seconds from Disaster, etc). DH always tells me I shouldn't, but I say that they always explain how they found out what the problem was and then changed airline policies or made Boeing/Airbus design new parts, etc, to prevent accidents in the future.

    But still, they can't fix all of them. Metal fatigue is now pretty high up on the list of fears dealing with planes, and I definitely wouldn't have known about it without the shows.

    YES! Those kids bring out crotchity old lady in me. It's just shocking how ridiculous and uneducated these girls (for the most part) act! I KNOW I wasn't that stupid when I was 16!

    Bravo is my best friend.

    I love most of the Real Housewive's shows, except for Atlanta. Never got into that one, I'm not sure why...
