Last (good) update on DS2. And maybe a MIL vent : )

His chipped tooth- we saw the dental specialist yesterday. The fracture is somewhat close to the nerve but the dentist said not enough to make him worry. He just wanted us to keep an eye on it but cosmetically or restoratively it didn't make sense to fill or fix the tooth at this point. YAY, for no big dental bills.
Enlarged Liver & Spleen- We saw the pedi GI specialist today. He had received the u/s and blood work from our doctor. He did a abdominal exam and he said he could hardly tell that they had been enlarged. He didn't feel the spleen at all but could fill the liver but not enough to make him worry. He agreed the blood work looked good. He said the u/s may have exaggerated the enlargement (like it does babies I guess) and/or the infection or whatever causing it has subsided and the spleen and liver retracted. We will probably never know. At this point, we don't need a follow up.
ETA: And the GI specialist bills as an outpatient procedure which actually saved us $--I think : )
MIL vent- I AM READY FOR MY KIDS TO BE HOME. I know I should just enjoy the time away (I get to nest) and am very thankful that she came down and watched them. They took them to their hotel to swim in the heated indoor pool (its 80 here anyway 
And I guess afterward she gave them a shower (really, not necessary) but she paused like, you should thank me and now they are playing a game of memory and will "come home when they are done" in her snide retort. They are also picking up BBQ. YUM! But I am ready to see my kiddos!

I'm glad to hear it all went well. I've been looking for your update.
I am glad it went well. I know you dont know me at all (obviously) but felt like I needed to add my opinion, even though you didnt ask. It could be that because I have a child with a rare disease, and that I am a worry wart by nature, but I would not feel comfortable with no other follow up, or even a second opinion.
At the end of the day it is your child and is up to you, but I would want a follow up in maybe 6 months. JMO, again.
He will go back to our pedi at 2.5 (its a new well baby visit), so I am sure he will check then also. It was at a well baby appt that this all started.
