We got 17 eggs! I made the nurse repeat it several times! The RE counted 6 antral follicles at my baseline and we had 13 follicles at our final count, so this really took us by surprise. We are thrilled!!
Everything went really well. The RE that performed my last ER and ET just happened to be in the OR today. She's so sweet and it was wonderful to see her! It seems as though my ovaries were cooperating today, as I'm not in nearly as much pain this time. The staff was so kind and encouraging as always. All in all, I don't think things could have gone any better. Let's hope the PIO shot this evening is just as easy!
Thanks again for the encouraging post this morning. Going into ER with this fabulous group of ladies cheering me was the best!

Hey just realized you are doing PIO the night of retrieval -- mine was after transfer. I wonder what the standard is? Anyway - enjoy your rest and good luck!

Thank you so much for the kind words! Because they had so much trouble accessing one of my ovaries last time, I think I had unrealistic ideas about the amount of pain that was normal. This time has been so much better! I've actually been able to walk around and I even went pain med free for most of the day!
PIO went really well! I was also surprised they made me start that night, as I was hoping to have another night off! I had been saving the posts about PIO and all the advice really helped. So much worry for nothing
