Cramping and sex

This is my 2nd baby - I am 13 weeks.

Last night my stomach starting hurting, churning and cramping - an hour or so after it started I noticed some pink discharge in my underwear. I drank a big glass of water and went to bed. Woke up this morning to more cramping, and more pinkish discharge throughout the morning.

My question is this - I called my doctor and he thinks it's because I had sex Sunday. I NEVER had this time with baby #1 - cramping, problems with sex, blood, anything, and it wasn't some wild and freaky sex, didn't hurt during or after.... - so basically I'm wanting some comfirmation that he is legit and everything is ok :)

    Although the only thing I experience from time to time while having sex is cramping when I "finish" per se, I do have friends that have had some minor spotting post having sex. I did ask my doctor if I needed to be concerned about being intimate with my husband and she assured me there was no need to worry, but did tell me that I MAY experience some sort of spotting. So, even though I have not experienced it directly, I have been told it is OK and I have friends who have experienced just that. Try to stay calm, and if the cramping gets worse and/or your bleeding is red and heavier-THEN go ahead and go to the ER. Best of luck!!

    This hasn't happened with #2 yet but definitelty did with #1.  I wouldn't worry unless it gets worse.  Best of luck!

    I've had cramping right after sex, or like within a couple hours.

    Don't want to go against your doctor, but I'm going to say there's a slim chance it's because of sex a couple days ago if you didn't feel anything til now.

    im about 6 weeks and had spotting after sex...no cramping yet...but the magazines the doctors office gave me do say it may happen.

    Thanks! I was just concerned since the cramping and pink discharge didn't start until 24 hours AFTER having sex. The discharge is more often and larger quantities now (sorry if tmi) - but still the same pinkish color.

    My doctor did say that if it doesn't stop in a couple days to call back - so I decided that is it's still happening tomorrow afternoon, I'm going in!
