First day home alone

w/ DS that is... Dh went off to work this morning, it was a pretty teary morning but so far *knock on wood* things are going well... I got a shower, had a quick breakfast and got to lay down while he napped. Not sure what the afternoon will bring but we're doing ok so far... I'm so nervous he's going to get fussy but he had a big fussy day yesterday so hopefully he got it out of his system... at least for today to Thursday. Its snowing so I don't dare take him out in the car but we might go visit Dh for lunch tomorrow if the weather cooperates. It'll be our first solo venture... yikes. I see from posts below that its a lot of ladies first days at home so good luck to all of you... talk about nerve wracking. I'm not stir crazy yet but I can feel it coming if it snows again tomorrow.

Good luck! I remember that day so well. I was so nervious, especially sincd DS had colic from the first day we brought him home. You'll do fine! Just tell yourself its okay if you get absolutely nothing accomplished. And spend the day just oogling at him and snapping pictures!

 this!  it is hard being home alone at first but make the most of it.  take pictures,  watch day time tv and snuggle, etc.  chores can wait. GL!

good luck izabella! our first day without daddy was yesterday, and boy was it a long one filled with tears and all - but we made it. today seems better, so that's a plus.

here's to hoping today is a great day for the two of you!

GL!  I found the anticipation much worse.  I've only been at it going on 3w here, but it hasn't been too bad.  You get in the swing of things pretty quickly.

Yesterday was our first day alone and it was a little tough but not nearly as bad as I expected. Today is definitely a little better. Hope your day goes well

GL!  My first day alone was really hard, but the second was pretty easy.  The rest vary.  You just never know!

FWIW, it used to take me like two hours to get ready for lone adventures as I had to make sure I had everything and could only remember things for maybe 10 seconds.  It gets MUCH easier.
