I just got diagnosed with this over the weekend as I had a massive hemorrhage that landed me in the ER. I'm not on a lot of restrictions and such but I was wondering if anyone else that has had this has ended up with more than one massive hemorrhage. My OB stated there were no solid statistics on this and I was just curious as to what I should expect. I had it on Saturday and stopped bleeding that day, just don't know if I should expect to see it again, keeping my fingers crossed that I don't!
Thanks!
Re: ? about Subchorioic Hematoma
I had a subchorionic hematoma when I was around 12 weeks. It wasn't massive, but surely scary.
Then I was dx with marginal previa and when that was cleared at 28 weeks, the next day I had a very large and very unexplained bleed..... Dr thinking it was another hematoma hidden in there somewhere.
I'm just about 36 weeks and haven't had a bleed since. I've been on pelvic rest for the bulk of my PG and basically been told to 'take it easy' and also had a few weeks of partial bedrest scattered in there somewhere.
Good luck and rest well, I'm wishing you a happy/healthy rest of your PG!!!
Thanks so much for you input. As scary as it is for us it sure is nice to know that there are others going through it as well. Glad to hear your so close to holding your LO in your arms
Good Luck!
I had a small bleed from an SCH at 8 weeks that bleed for a day or so. Then at 15 weeks I had a huge gusher of an SCH. I bleed everyday from that one for a month. Thankfully after that month was over, the SCH had completely gone away. Depending on where it is located and the size, your body may reabsorb it or you might bleed it out (like me). I was always told to call when I see red blood ( could be a new SCH) and to not worry if blood was brown (likely left from the last one). Everyone is different though.....
Seeing blood during pregnancy is scary. Good luck.
