Update - My WTF (a little long)

I met with a new RE (in the same office I have been going to) on Friday afternoon, he specializes in PCOS and was hired from SIRM in CA.  So far he seems like a nice guy and he didn't rush through our appt.   

He doesn't think I have any immune issues, per all my b/w that I have had over the past 1.5 years and he noticed that I have been on a few meds that he doesn't approve of (a certain BCP that I took every cycle and Menopur). I brought up my dislike of PIO and he doesn't rec PIO to his patients....I was really happy to hear about that. He also mentioned that he doesn't like to see his patients that have PCOS cycle for at least 3, if not 6 cycles after a Methotrexate shot.  He believes that the drug lingers in your system and may have an impact on other IVF/FET cycles.  The shot could have been the reason why IVF #2 & FET #1 didn't work for us, but who knows.

Right now, he wants me to have my AMH and Testosterone tested, start taking BeYaz, PreQue10 and have DH start taking Conception XR for IVF.  Dh is open to taking supplements, but at $85 a bottle for a 30 day supply, not sure how well Dh will take that info.

I start BCP for IVF #3 tomorrow and we are looking at an April ER.

That's wonderful to have a new set of eyes look at everything!  I hope your upcoming IVF brings you a sticky take home baby.  Tell your Dh that $85 a month isn't so bad.... Especially if it's only a few months and you get KU in April.  Good luck!

I am glad that you have a new plan and a new RE that you are comfortable with.

For what it is worth, I added a lot of supplements for IVF 2 & 3 as well.  We saw HUGE results with DHs sperm analysis (motility and count - still waiting on the paperwork to see his morph numbers) with IVF3.  I really believe that the supplements helped us achieve this pregnancy.  We were on them long enough to really feel the full effects.

Have you read the Infertility Cure?  We basically followed their suggestions and added FertilAid for DH.  I also followed many of their diet and supplement suggestions.

I'm glad you liked the new RE and that he had some suggestions for you!  I really hope this helps you.

I do know most of the SIRM REs don't use much menopur and especially not for DOR and PCOS patients.  Hopefully, his tweaks bring you a BFsP in April!!

I am glad your new RE had some new info for you. I agree after all the money we have all spend $85 isn't too awful. Still sucks, but it could be worse.

I agree that having a 2nd set of eyes go over your cycling history is a great idea.  I'm so glad this new RE took his time and seems to have a good plan going forward.  I am pumped for your upcoming cycle!

I so glad that you like the plan that the RE gave you - I think it sounds great!!  I agree that $85 is no fun, but if it makes a difference then it will be money well spent!!  DH took fertility blend from GNC - it was not that expensive, but he also took Omega 3 and co-q 10 and I really do think it helped somewhat.  We also abstained longer and that really helped his count.

I'm really excited for you!  You have had a whirlwind of events happen in the past few days and I think it ALL means good things!!

And I won't even tell you what MH spends on supplements each month, tell him it's all worth it!!
