Are sandals a bad idea for Disney World?

I was planning to wear sneakers since there will be so much walking.  But, now that I'm starting to think about packing and outfits, I'm realizing my sneakers are gonna look kinda goofy with some of my shorts and capri pants.  Any chance I could get away with sandals, or do I have to suck it up for comfort?

I wear flip flops or Keens all the time. And the Keens are slides, not the big bulky ones. DD wears sandals all the time too.  If you're used to walking in them, there won't be a problem.

I can't wear sneakers. When I walk a lot and my feet get puffy, socks actually hurt my feet.

I've worn FitFlops and a pair of Yellow Box flip flops and felt great.  I think you need to wear nicer flip flops than the $1 Old Navy ones but don't have to go the ugly tennies shoe route.

I wore flip flops the entire time we were there. Reefs are my favorite.

I wore my Reebok thong flip flops the 5 days, they are cloth between the toes and super comfy

I wore flip flops because I figured I always wear flip flops anyway! I brought several different pairs and only one gave me trouble and that was because they had no support at all, but even those weren't too bad. I just didn't want anything that would leave blisters.

i'm going to go against everyone so far and say no to the flip flops.  definitely bring them for the hotel, etc., but when i walk around all day in them, my ankles start to hurt very badly.  just something to think about!
