I saw Dr. Beth Ary for a cyst once and based on all the baby pictures I would guess she was good. She was very nice but that is all I can really say. She also no longer does anything other than fertility so im guessing that is what she is best at since she has no time for cysts anymore.
I worked with Dr. Ilene Hatch for IUI and IVF and saw 2 other doctors before her (including a celebrity doctor often featured on CNN and The View) and she is hands down the most caring and dedicated medical professional I've ever experienced. Only downside is that the appointment waits can be rather long - but it is due to the amount of time she spends with her patients. She performs all of the surgical procedures herself and has a great bedside manner. My office was 40 miles away so I also appreciated her early morning office availability (they open at 6:30am) so that it was minimally disruptive to my work day. She is thorough and watches your cycle like a hawk. Can't recommend her enough!

I also saw Dr Ilene Hatch...highly recommend her. She is so caring and spends as much time with you as you need. Previous poster mentioned the long wait times which does happen but like she said it is only because she spends time with you! Compared to the other doctor I saw her pricing is very reasonable. Can't say enough great things about her and her staff. She is located across the street from John Wayne Airport.
I saw Dr. Mark Kan. LOVED him!! His practice is Newport Fertility. Small practice (just him, 2 nurses and a front office person ... his billing person is off site). Loved the personal attention. I went through 2 rounds of IVF from him (and currently 33 weeks pregnant due to a successful second round). He was the only person that ever did my scans, exams, etc. I never saw a nurse practioner, etc. Can't recommend him highly enough.

I went to Coastal Fertility in Irvine. I went to a dr that is no longer there but Dr Werlin (the founder) is supposed to be wonderful. They did a great job and they are open 7 days a week so they do all procedures when your body is ready regardless of the day. When interviewing fertility centers/doctors, that is an important question to ask.
Thanks, ladies! I actually went with Dr. Robert Anderson of Southern California Center for Reproductive Medicine, in Newport & Mission Viejo. I've had two medicated back-to-back IUIs (one didn't take, other did but didn't last) and now going through my first IVF round (fingers crossed!).
We're all so lucky to have so many great options in our area!
I went to Dr. Vick Sahakian who is the medical director at Pacific fertility center Los Angeles and he is absolutely amazing! I would recommend him and his staff without an Oz of hesitation. He is simply the very best fertility specialist in southern ca in my opinion.
I just started seeing Dr. Robert Anderson. He was on time and very nice. His staff was incredibly helpful.
