DD gets a bath every second night, as part of bedtime routine. If we miss one, no big deal. I thought about doing it every night but I don't want to be stuck having to give her a bath in order for her to fall asleep. The other night I have an altered routine of going in the bathroom to wash her face and hands, then room to get into PJs and the rest is the same..
Baby #1: m/c at 5 weeks (2011)
Baby #3: missed m/c found at 11.5 weeks (2013)
Baby #4: missed m/c at 10 weeks (2013)
Baby #5: m/c at 6 weeks (2014)
Baby #6: Saw a heartbeat at 7w, baby stopped growing at 7w1d, found at 8w u/s : d&c (2014)
We do bath every night. He is starting to relate bath and bed which I like.
It relaxes him and he seems to enjoy it.
This! If we can't do it one night we just wipe him down with a warm wash cloth and give him an extra long baby massage. I always sing the "head, shoulders, knees and toes" song to him when we do the massage and he just coo's and ahhh's at me. lol I love it!
We do a bath every two to three nights. She doesn't seem to show a difference between a bath night and a non-bath night.

I don't take one single minute for granted.
You are right, they are only supposed to get baths 1-2 times per week. Babies don't get that dirty....well, at least mine don't!!! I wipe their faces, hands and bums with a warm, soapy wash cloth the other nights.

we're just starting a nighttime routine since she has kind of set her own bedtime. However, she only gets baths every 2-3 days. On the nights she doesn't need a bath, we just won't give her one. She goes down just fine already without gettign one so I'm not worried.
