  • Get to it so you can have plenty of time to find one you like Smile

  • Oh better get on that ish girl!! DH cousin didn't look until the baby was born and she had a terrible time finding anything. Luckily her work let her stay out another 2 months so she could get something lined up.

  • Yeah in my area some have waiting lists as long as a year, you better hop to it! GL!Big Smile
  • I am in the same boat as you totally!!! Ahhhh!

    - haven't started looking
    - am secretly hoping I can just stay home for 6ish months instead of the 12 wks FMLA
    - am tired of my job even though the extra money is nice

  • Me neither, though I do have a bit more time, b/c my sister has agreed to watch DD for 3 months after I go back to work.
So I've got six months still to find something....NOT looking forward to that at all.
  • Thank god I'm not the only one... though today I did make two appointments to go visit some.  I was also in denial until my DH said "what you haven't looked into it - you know there can be waiting lists right?" My response sheepishly "yes dear"
  • I dont' even have a job to go back to!!  lol which makes it harder...   maybe, just maybe i'll pretend everyday that i'm job hunting for the next six months and i'll jsut tell Dh that it's a tough job world out there right now.....

     i'm just kidding...

  • I'm with ya...sort of! MIL has agreed to watch DC two days for the first year and since I was only planning on going back to work 2-3 days anyway its perfect! I'm on a waiting list for daycare one day a week starting in April 2009 so we'll see what happens!
  • I am in the same boat.  I have ideas in mind but I haven't called any of them.  I have to go back to work because DD will be on my insurance (it is better and cheaper than DH's) and we can't survive without my income.  I just don't want to at all.  I have been off work since Sept.10th and won't be going back until at least mid december (or later depending when DD decides to make her grand entrance)
  • We started looking this week and the 2 places we have seen so far are underwhelming. ?I am hoping the place on Tuesday is better. ?I feel like you do, I dont want to find something but know I HAVE to. ?I have no choice but to go back to work unless we want no steady income or insurance. ?
  • A little?inspiration... I didn't realize I'd need to go back to work this soon, but now I'm frantically calling every last place and the thing that freaks me out more than daycare is having to go with a less than ideal daycare, just because its the only one with an availability. I know you're tired, but you will thank you later. And... its no fun having something hanging over your head that you have to do. Good luck!
