Question about temping and doing OPK's

My husband and I have been trying to get pregnant for a few months.  This is the first month that I am going to do temping as well as OPK's. I did temping last month and my temps were all over the place I think because I don't sleep very well.  My question is, do you do an OPK test every day? Do you start at a certain day?  Any help or advice would be wonderful.  Thanks.

I also recommend www.peeonastick.com. I got a lot of good info from that. I used them for the first time this month but generally I started on day 10 doing it twice daily (i use FMU and around 9:30...some don't recommend FMU but it worked for me) and once I got my first + I test morning, afternoon and night just to see how long it lasted and I had wondfos and they were cheap.
