The first time, it took 4 months. This time, it went back to normal after 1 cycle. My friend had hers removed the same time as me, and didn't have a normal cycle, and after 3 months, gave up and got another one put in.
One cycle for me. I got my IUD out dec 14 and bled for a cpl of days afterward it was removed. Got my normal period on dec 29 and am now about 4 weeks pregnant
It took me one cycle. I had mine removed cause I was in pain and I told the Dr that I would rather deal with heavier periods then the horrible cramps. Come to find out when it was removed that it was lodged in my cervix and that is why I was in pain. My body apparently didn't like it.

My doctor told me it could take 6 to 8 weeks to get my regular period back. I got pregnant three weeks after having the Mirena removed without having a period.
I had my Mirena in for a little over a year and I immediately had a monthly cycle, but the first 3 cycles were 27/28 days and I am normally longer. After 3 months regular hormonal stuff started returning and my period was 31 days which is regular length for me. After that it only took us 2 months to get pregnant.
