What is the one thing you are always asked to bring to get togethers because you make it better than anyone else? (Trying to see if I can get steal some really good, tried and tested recipes from you all!)
I always get volunteered to make macaroni salad. Most people rant and rave over it. Of course, my MIL has to put it down and make me feel like a piece of crap. Oh well, everyone likes different things.
Re: Go to recipe
My mother recently told me I make good green beans.
I use frozen cut green beans - french cut work too.
I cook about 5 pieces of bacon, once bacon is cooked, remove and keep drippings in pan. Add in about 1/2-1 small diced onion - allow to get translucent, add 4 garlic cloves minced (we love garlic), once those are cooked to a nice light brown color add in the green beans. (I usually add some cajun spice to it too, but just for my boys and I.), once beans are cooked chop up the bacon and add it back to the pan, or on top of beans once in serving bowl.

Corn chowder.
My mother's family has been making it for years at all of our get togethers. Anytime DH's family has a get together they beg me to make the corn chowder.
Taco Dip
Cookies (really any kind-I am known as the cookie queen in my family and my H's fmaily)
Cheesecake
Hmmm...well we don't really go to many parties, but when people come over I often impress with my sauce/meatballs/sausage or chicken and dumplings.
Sometimes I'll make spinach artichoke dip to take places or buffalo chicken dip.
In the summer I like to bring a feta/sundried tomato/pasta salad.

Ok, i need recipes posted from some of you PPs and your tasty dishes!!
We don't go to many parties where I'm bringing food, but usually if I make something that I'm asked the recipe for it's a baked good. A couple times this fall/winter I made a chocolate chip pumpkin bread that a DH's coworkers asked for the recipe.
