Eating too much ?

I know most pedi's (at least mine did) say that babies can't overeat and to feed them until they stop, but daycare just texted and said that so far today's Brody's had an English Muffin pizza, 2 nutrigrain bars and 2 oragnes for lunch and he's still hungry.

Honestly?? This is on top of his morning bottle, breafkast, snack and whatever milk he's sipping on.

Do your babies eat this much or is my grocery bill destined to always be high??

  • Avery is a pig. He eats a lot! But he's skinny and he runs like a bat out of he!l, so I figure he's probably really that hungry!

LOL, same here! Sometimes I can't believe how Nora puts it away, but she's really active. Maybe he's having a growth spurt?

  • My kids have all gone through phases when they can't get enough food.  Don't worry - it shouldn't last forever.  But it will happen again.  I am constantly warned about the teenage years when that is all they will do.  I am not looking forward to that grocery bill at all!

Same here. Anthony is skinny, but is in constant motion.

He is picky, but once he's found something he really likes, he eats a lot of it. I make him a cheese & tomato quesadilla usually for lunch & he eats the whole thing, plus sliced avocado & then a clementine. Then he's banging on the pantry door less than 2 hrs later saying, "mmmmMMMmm".

I've been contemplating giving him basically a second lunch around 3 b/c to go from 12 to 5 with just a snack in between isn't cutting it anymore.

  • I have been wondering this lately too, to the point where I want to bring it up at our 15 mo appt.

H has never EVER (well.... maybe once) stopped eating on her own for lunch or dinner. And I give her a lot of food. Her belly is so freakin huge after she eats. I know she knows the full feeling because she'll push away a bottle before it's empty, or do her "all done" face before her oatmeal and yogurt are gone at breakfast.

I've been tempted to just keep feeding her to see how much she'll eat but I don't want to make her sick. :(
