How Long Have you been TTC?

Just in one of those moods where I feel like I should have had a BFP on our first try! How long have all you ladies been TTC? We don't have any children, so this is our first go round, and have been TTC since 10/11. I realize that isn't very long but I'm just in one of those moods tonight

I have been TTC for the same amount of time, but went off BCP in May of '11 and still havent regulated my cycle yet. If you dont chart, I'd recommend it because it will give you a sense of control, and you'll know exactly what's going on with your body.

I got very lucky with my first and he was our little surprise and was pregnant 3 months after we got married. So I thought it would just happen the second time. Well 8 months later I have become very serious about ttc. Tracking everything gives me a sense of control. I was surprised by how little I knew. I watched the great sperm race and that made me feel better.

I got lucky with DS too...he came 2 weeks after we got married and were on our first cycle TTC. Now we're on our 6th cycle ttc #2 since 9/20/11.

We decided to start actively trying in Sept. 2011. I've never been on BCP and we have not been preventing at all. In December and part of January, I was thinking that I wasn't ready for a baby, but we still weren't preventing, and now, we're actively trying again.

I've been really frustrated this last month too, OP, and I too have not been trying that long. I too figured it would happen like *that* as I am really young and healthy, but I guess this is teaching me patience...I hope you feel less frustrated soon.

With #1 I went off BCP and didn't even get a period. Being one of "those" people for the first around is making it very hard for me not to scream "Why me!?!?" every month, but in reality we haven't been trying long at all. My body was still regulating from having my IUD removed during C#1, so really it's only been 2 months.

Officially TTC since July 2011 via IUI with frozen donor sperm, but we've had to skip cycles so have only done 4 IUIs in that time period.

Since Aug 2011...We skipped a month because health insurance changed...so this is the 6th cycle of trying. I've never been on BCP, so didn't need to regulate. I charted months before TTC. So...don't know what my hold up is. It's just taking longer than expected.

We TTC in Nov 2011 and no BFP (first cycle) so we are now TTA until July/August bc I just got a new job and I want FMLA to be in effect when we have a LO and we are trying to avoid having a baby during tax season since I'm a CPA. This whole waiting thing sucks...but I'm learning so much while we wait!!!

We're only on cycle # 2 - also trying for our first. I totally understand that great hope/expectation of getting a BFP on the first try! I should've known better after all the reading I've done on this board. Hope you get your BFP soon!

Trying since Oct 2011, keep trying to stay positive.  It took us awhile with #1 after seeing 3 different specialists and my OB told me I was good to go for another one and shouldn't have to see an specialists so I am hoping for the best this time around.  Was just using OPKs now this cycle I am charting and it is confusing the crap out of me.  For #1 I had a clear blue easy monitor and really liked it but my dog ate it the day after he found out I was pregnant and I really don't want to spend the money on another one.

This is our 6th cycle.  It can be frustrating but you just have to focus on staying positive.
