  • There are a few on here that are doing single parenting.  Others (like me) are doing IUI and others are doing IVF.  If you have questions about that kind of stuff or just want general support, sick around here.  The woman on here are so smart and kind.

  • Welcome to the board if you choose to stay here and good luck to you and your partner.
  • We have a lot of expertise here on IUIs. So ask away related to those. Most of us won't be able to answer any of your questions specifically related to same sex relationships, but Welcome! and Good Luck!

  • You are welcome here!
  • Welcome!   I also post on the Trouble TTC board and we've have several same sex couples in the time I've posted there.  I agree that the LGBT Parenting board might be a good one too.  Just lurk and see which board you like best or post on several and then narrow it down.

    Good luck!

  • Welcome!

I'm straight, but one of the single gals so a lot of what we go through is very similar. I actually lurk on the LGBT board occasionally when I am looking for something that might only apply to a single woman using donor sperm.

If you are on Facebook, California Cryobank has both a public and a private Facebook page. The private page is invitation only, but you just message the moderator. There are a ton of female couples pursuing motherhood on there.

    Best of luck to you!

  • I will get back to you. I'm married and TTC, however I met a same sex couple in my RE's office on a Saturday morning. We started talking and I did not realize some of the difficulties, especially here in Texas. Especially, I did not realize that some doctors will not take couples that were same sex and it made me sick. I mean, it makes me wondering what I am doing in a city like Dallas that is so conservative. They said there was a web site that was helpful to them and I am going to ask her.

     Good luck

I'm in Dallas too. I did find that there are several doctors who are associated with Presbyterian hospital that will not accept single women. I think that this how they get around working with lesbian couples too.

But I found a great RE who's office is at Medical City and he is very supportive of me being a single mother by choice. I like him a lot.

    Who is your RE?

  • Here! :) I'm TTC, since my wife is 40, and I'm 35. I haven't participated in the LGBT forum because it seems to be a lot of conversation about being pregnant or raising families rather than TTC conversation, but I haven't been there in a couple weeks, so that may have changed.
