My husband and I have been TTC for 2 1/2 years. We have tried on our own and been to doctors. He was checked and has a high sperm count. They are telling me that I do not produce enough progesterone and that I do not ovulate, and that if I were to get pregnant I would miscarry. I was put on Femara and the doctor thought I would be pregnant in 3 rounds (3 months). Turns out it wasnt working for me and my levels still were not high enough. The doctor said he wanted to see me to discuss the next step. I have two options: 1.)-Fertility Shots or 2.) Ovarian Drilling. Now I have heard of fertility shots and know that they are very common; however I have never heard of ovarian drilling and am weary on what to do. I am trying to do research on it but cannot seem to find much of anything. Does anyone have any advice?
Re: Help, I need some advice!
This is the first time I've heard of ovarian drilling. You may want to speak to your doctor again if you're unclear about procedures that s/he is recommending. This link was the first thing that came up when I googled it:
https://women.webmd.com/laparoscopic-ovarian-drilling-ovarian-diathermy-for-pcos
You might want to introduce yourself on the Trouble TTC board as well, as women there may have more experience with this procedure.
Sorry that Femara didn't work out and that you've been ttc for so long. Good luck to you.
What type of fertility shots what he suggesting? Giving some more specific info there may help people chime in with their advice/experience/etc.
