My husband & I are trying for a baby. I have been off birth control for 3 Years. I have been taken vitamins for a few months. We have began trying on 1-9-12 & 1-10-12 & nothing since then. I took a test this morning on 1/24/2012 & it came up negative (it was the test you can take 6days before a missed period). On 1-16 & 1-17 I had a very small amount of spotting & for a few days in the morning my nipples was snore but it has past now. I haven't felt much different, I have off & on on lower right pain in the stomach. Could this mean I am pregnant & it is too soon to tell? I contacted my Dr. (OBGYN) & spoke to her Nurse & she soonest to test would be 14 days from date of conceiving.
Re: Trying to get pregnant
Most of us on this board track our cycles to help us figure out when we ovulate to give us the best chance of getting pregant each month. We aren't blindly trying - we are putting time, effort, and research into this process. Feel free to ask questions - we were all new at this at some point.
Many of us do daily temperature monitoring when we wake up to look for a temperature shift that happens when you ovulate. We also watch our cervical fluid/muccus to look for signs of increased fertility. Many also use ovulation predictor kits. If you see anyone that has a ticker at the bottom of their post that says a number followed by CD or DPO you can see what she is tracking. It is for a website called FertilityFriend. There is a lot of good information on there to get you up to speed with how your cycle works and how to time sex to increase your chances fo getting pregnant.
Are your cycles regular? When was your last period? If you expected your period by now, take a test every couple days until your period comes or you get a positive. Be sure you are using first morning urine - it is the most concentrated.
I wouldn't test until the day or day after you expect your period.
A lot of early signs of pregancy are similar to PMS - I try not to read to much into them.
