Miscarried in November, BFP last night!

We found out on 11/11 that we were expecting #2, we couldn't have been more excited. We always want our DD to have a sibling close in age, plus being 31 and 45 ourself we didn't want to wait long between children. Sadly two weeks later we lost the baby and ended up having to have a D&C on 12/9. I had what I thought was a period on 12/25 but had been feeling "pregnant" again for about a week before that. On 1/8 I decided to take a HPT and 2 came back negative (the digital kind) and 3 came back with very faint lines. Over the past two weeks I've felt really pregnant so I after a horrible day of nausea yesterday and headaches I made DH go get a pack of tests. BAM, positive!

We had genetic testing with our D&C and found out we were expecting a little girl that was genetically perfect. So our next step for some explanation was to have blood work done to test for clotting disorders. I had the blood drawn on Wednesday so hopefully those results will come back soon. From what I understand if I do have that issue I may need shots during my pregnancy to prevent another miscarriage. Needless to say I was on the phone with the OB first thing is am and we have an appointment to confirm the pregnancy tomorrow night. I'm SUPER nervous, trying to be cautious in my excitement but how can you not be excited when you see those double lines, it's love at first sight.

Just had to share, DH is being cautious and is telling me to relax until we talk to the OB.

Congrats! You should come on over to pregnant after a loss! We offer a lot of support and knowledge over there. It's nice to have a lot of people with the same concerns. Have you talked to yuor DR about a daily low dose aspirin for clotting issues?
