I guess I was expecting a miracle... :(

I just called  a cosmetic dermotologist for information about laser treatments for the stretch marks that have begun to pop up, along with my stretched out belly ring scar. I talked to the friendly nurse for like 20 minutes, and got the truth.

She told me the treatments along with mircorderm abraison help somewhat with restoring elasticity and changes the pigmentation to match the rest of your skin, but for minor marks (like mine) she would just recommend waiting out the healing time.  She said lots of ppl come in and pay lots of money expecting them to go away but  if the marks are not deep and discolored it doesnt really make a difference. Guess im stuck with these suckers forevever Crying I hate that I am so vain

    Embrace your 'tiger stripes'.  They do fade over time.

    i don't have any yet (knock on yet) but i am sure i will get them based on how enormous i have become and i still have 6 more weeks. I have told my self they are "battle scars". A small price to pay to be a mommy!

    Mom to 2 beautiful girls, 3 yrs and 22 months old. My 2nd was born at 32 weeks due to Rhogam failure/severe complications from Rh disease and is our miracle. She has bilateral auditory neuropathy and a cochlear implant, activated 4/5/2012 at 19 months. Lilypie First Birthday tickers

    I'm glad she was honest with you. I have some from growth spurts in my teens and they have faded to white and honestly can't even really tell their there anymore. I wouldn't worry about it.

    I am so glad she was honest. I was willing to shell out enormous amounts of money to get rid of 'em.

    Im going to suck it up..and never wear a bikini again.

    At least she was honest with you about it!  Think about how mad you would have been if you paid to get it done and still had them.

    LOL - she didn't tell you would be "stuck with them forever", just to wait out the healing time. ?They do fade! ?

    Even without?stretch?marks you won't be wearing a bikini anytime soon - it takes a bit for your stomach to stop looking like a deflated balloon. ?Your skin didn't stretch to that size overnight and it won't go back to taut and smooth overnight either.
