I'm usually a lurker.. but I totally agree. I get all fainty when I see blood and ick. I can imagine it would be worse if it was laying on my chest. And then I'd have to try to not get all freaked out and accidentally push the baby off me or something...

Oh and people kiss the baby I just want to throw up. My doc fell out laughing when he tried to put my son on me I said "Um didn't we talk about this? Wipe him off!"

Not my thing, but I understand. I actually helped deliver my DD and didn't mind the goop, but I know it grosses a lot of people out

If they don't wipe him off before they give him to me someone might be inclined to call CPS on me. Not because I won't love him to pieces, but because I'll just be so grossed out I won't know what to do!

Yes!!!  I cannot do blood and slime like that.   Once the baby is all clean then I will be rady to hold her!

I kinda want the kid thrown right on me.  I'm wearing a hospital gown, not my own clothes. 

 Kissing them when they're still covered in vernix and fluid and bloody mucus or whatever else is a totally different story.  That grosses me out.
