Trying to Get Pregnant

2 day period

Is this something to worry about? Spotting one day, pretty heavy flow the next for CD1, then medium flow yesterday. Today, nothing. I'm not complaining but just want to make sure this isn't something I need to do anything about.

Re: 2 day period

  • I've had short periods before. I'm anovulatory, so I didn't ovulate those cycles. I don't know if this would be the case for you.

Are your periods normally this short? If it's really concerning you, ask your OB about it when you get a chance! :)

  • Over the last few months they've gotten a bit shorter, usually about 3 to 4 days. I just went to the bathroom and noticed I am spotting, so I guess it is dragging the cycle out a bit more, which is better.

When you have an anovulatory cycle, does the cycle last longer? My cycles always are shorter (26 days), and I have shorter LP (9 to 10 days) - this was the case this last cycle, it was the typical length. So I was unsure if it was just a random shorter period or the sign of an anovulatory cycle - my gut says it wasn't.

  • My periods are typically like this.  I am heavy one day, medium another, and then I spot for 2-4 days.  If you are concerned, I would talk with your doctor.

  • My periods were like this on BC, and since coming off, they are still about the same. I don't think there is anything to worry about.
