I have been dreading this for the longest time and really putting it off, but he's almost 3 and I really needed to do it! He did great and I was so pleasantly surprised!
We talked a lot about the "tooth doctor" and how she was going to touch his teeth and count them and clean them. And so, when the time came, he readily opened his mouth for the dentist and let her do what she needed to go. He didn't hold his mouth open for very long, but he did it a bunch of times!
They had Sesame Street on the TV and gave him stickers for each part of the exam that he did. They gave him a cleaning and flouride!
And he was so proud of himself for being such a good boy!
Re: My big boy did awesome at the dentist!
That's great!
I loved my pediatric dentist when I was a kid. He would do funny voices and it was always a good experience. I hope K feels the same way when we take her in a few months.
Awww, that is great!! Good job, Jacob!!
When we took Brady he just kept telling her, "No thank you!" every time she tried to do something. But he let her do it, and never cried so I was happy!
I am thankful every day for my miracle after infertility.
And thrilled to be pregnant again after FET!
Yeah I've been dragging my feet on taking Nicholas. The Pedi even mentioned it at his 2 1/2 yr well check in Sept. Nicholas will not let anyone look in his mouth, so I'm not sure how awesome he'd do.
I guess I'll look up some Pedi Dentists in my area and just bite the bullet and make the appointment.
I'm so impressed!
Our pedi wants us to take Will to the dentist now, and I'm so afraid of it, so I completely understand putting it off!
