Whats going on with Griffs bum?

Ok so I'm sorry if this is a stupid question lol.

Griff has this rash on his lower back/upper bum (its still an area covered by the diaper).  I thought it was just dry skin but putting tons of lotion everyday hasn't helped and today it looks worse.  Is this considered a diaper rash?  The rest of his bum looks fine.  Can I smear diaper cream on this area?

Griffs only had one diaper rash before and it was in the crack area so I just assumed thats where all diaper rashes were.

is he on any antibiotics?  or...ear drops, eye drops

It probably is a rash - when Royce's get bad like that, we put athlete's foot cream on it - its antifungal so it helps it go away (almost) always the same day.

To me it sounds like the diaper is irritating him and causing eczema.  Maybe put desitin or aquaphor on to protect from chafing and switch temporarily to the pampers sensitive diapers.  Those are the only diapers that A does not have reactions to (he has pretty bad eczema)

Have you introduced any new foods lately? Could it be eczema from a food allergy?

Hmmm... thanks for the advice.  I don't think I've introduced any new foods but I don't know if maybe my mom has been?  I guess for now I'll use desitin and pampers sensitive but if it gets any worse maybe I'll need to bring him to the pedi.
