Trying to Get Pregnant

WWTTGPD BBT and chart Q

Sorry for formatting bumping from an iPad. So i noticed that my temps have been a lot lower the last few days, but I chalked this up to a cold and possibly mouth breathing. Well this morning after another really low temp, I decided to compare my BBT to my regular thermometer. My BBT is reading 1.5 degrees lower. I know that the two could be slightly different, but this is a lot. I'm not sure what to do. If I keep getting low temps, I'm sure FF will take away my CH, which I think are off by a day or two anyway. It is also possible that I'm having an anovulatory or late O cycle, but the rest of my fertility signs point to O (CM, CP, OPK). Do I keep temping with BBT and get a new one next cycle? Temp with a regular thermometer? Stop temping and just see what happens? Buy a new BBT for the rest of this cycle (I know this is not usually recommended)? The open temps in my LP are sleep deprived. I thought it was strange that my sleep deprived temps were so low, usually they are much higher, like the two earlier in my cycle. TIA. ETA: I should also add that I am worried that the BBT broke when I dropped it a few days ago.

Re: WWTTGPD BBT and chart Q

  • I would switch to a new thermometer next cycle. You could buy the new one now and temp with both in your mouth for the rest of your cycle if you want to go kind of crazy but I wouldn't outright switch BBTs unless it actually was broken.

  • I would keep temping and wait it out.  Sorry I dont have the best advice.
  • Thanks. I know I am probably over thinking things, but all of the low temps are driving me crazy. I think I will probably just get a new BBT next cycle, if there is a next cycle. :)

  • Your temps aren't that low. I'd keep temping with the BBT.  DO not switch mid cycle to a new BBT or regular thermometer.  Start the next cycle with a different thermometer.
