stopping bfing

Hi all,

This isn't twin related but I thought I saw someone post something on this board about this so I'm posting here.

I have a friend who is trying to stop BFing but she is having a really hard time. Her son turned one at the beginning of the month and he really only nurses for comfort (even in the middle of the night!) I've heard that there is something you can put on your nipples to make them taste bad, I can't remember the name. Or maybe I'm imaging this? Does anyone know about this and what it's called? Or if someone has a suggestion it would be greatly appreciated!

once we were done...at 13 months if she woke in the middle of the night i found another way to comfort her.  i'd pat her back and insist that she lay back down...

 i personally cut out night time feedings at 10 mos b/c we started potty training when she turned one.
