My Grandmother was an amazing woman. She passed away one year ago last week. She was a devout Catholic, loved telling of our family's strange outlawish past and had a dry sense of humor. At the luncheon after her funeral. (The ladies of the church always make a huge lunch for the family of the recently departed.) My Uncle's wife came up to me and said she is sad that Grandma had passed away, but couldn't help thinking of one of the last things she had said to them regarding them ever having children.
"You can spray batter all over the kitchen, but won't make anything until you get it in the oven."
Grandma you rock.
