Re: What is your least favorite med?

  • P4 shots. I hate having a bruised a$$.

Ganilrelix is a close 2nd because of the sheer force you have to use to get that damn needle to penetrate the skin.

  • It's a toss up between Prog. shots and Prog. suppositories! HAte the shots for obvious reasons...soreness, black n blue, long needle. I hate the suppositories because they make such a mess and they make you sore down there.

  • My least favourite is BCP.  It lasts for so long and makes me feel like I have PMS constantly.  However, I'm "lucky" and don't have to do PIO (they don't do it anymore up here in the Great North).  I normally would say that I hate the supps because they make me BSC but, knock on wood, things have been okay this go-round.

  • BCPs. Estrogen is a biitch for me. I can just feel myself gaining weight by the second and my fingers are sausages and my boobs don't fit into my bras and I really have to fight back the waterworks all the time. Last time I cycled, I was "relieved" to start injectables because they were so much easier than the side effects of estrogen.

  • 1. Lupron - I feel like crap on it.

    2. Doxycycline - tears my stomach up and makes me super nauseated.

    3. PIO - but I haven't taken that since IVF #2 (I am on #5 now).  I definitely prefer suppositories over the PIO needles and bruising.

This. In this order, but for different reasons.   Lupron dehydrates me and I was in the ER for kidney stones after 3 days of being on it.  Doxy makes my face blow up.  Barely recognised myself in pictures while taking it.  PIO because it hurts.  Been fortunate that I only had to have 2 shots of it with one cycle.
