PSA - Medela Pump in Style Advanced & Burlington Coat Factory

I am a lurker and never a poster but I wanted to share my find with you ladies who are planning to pump but haven't purchased a pump yet.

I went shopping today and Burlington Coat factory has a deal happening.

If you buy either the Medela Pump in Style Advanced or the Freestyle they throw in 4 accessories free. They sell the pump for 249.99 (amazon is a least 280). I got 2 packages of Pump and Store bags (50 bags per box), nipple lotion and nursing pads for FREE!!!

They also had Dr. Brown bottles on sale buy one get one 50%.

I also got a 20% off my next purchase coupon which is going to come in super handy next weekend when we get the crib!

  • Cool! I have never been to Burlington Coat Factory. I went online and it just shows the pump but does not mention free accessories. I wonder if this is just in store or where you live. Hmmm...I will check it out later just in case! I love to say a few bucks.
  • www.awaybabyessentials.com is a great website for saving money on pumps too.  They sell their pumps at/near cost to try to help moms out.  Free shipping over $100 and no tax.
  • Definitely check with your insurance.  We have Cigna - and my wife's doctor just wrote a prescription for a breast pump. Cigna works with a company called Care Centrix - so we called them and they did an intake for information and then we faxed over the prescription.  Long story short - the Medela Pump in Style tote was $187 (purchase) AND while our insurance doesn't cover it 100% - the entire 187 goes towards are deductible.

Your mileage may vary - but before spending the money you might want to see if you can either get it free (via insurance) or at least towards your deductible.

This is a good point. I called my insurance awhile back to see if they cover pumps and was told yes, if my doctor deems it to necessary. So, the way I see it, I will be returning to work after 12ish weeks, meaning that, yes, a pump will be necessary!

Hi everyone, I know this is a very old post but I went around searching google and came across it.  I just wanted to inform everyone that might be searching this that Cigna partners with Carecentrix to provide pumps, but I just spoke with awaybabyessentials.com and they will work with Carecentrix, and you can get the Freestyle or another other Medela for an up-charge! I also had checked out Pumping Essentials, but their up-charge is higher for the Freestyle.  However, Pumping Essentials does give you the option to add a coupon or a hands-free bra with the Medela starter kit, as opposed to Carecentrix which only offers the starter kit on its own.  Hope this makes sense, if not, feel free to message me! :)
