For those who are constipated

I found something that helps keep me going.  It's Stoneyfields Super Smoothie drinks.  They are basically a drinkable yogurt.  They are organic and have vitamins and probiotics.  I drink 2 or 3 a week and they've helped me tremendously. Thought I'd share!

  • Sounds good... I've been doing prunes and other dried fruit, but makes me gassy if I eat too much! Oh the joys of pregnancy!

  • I know!  It's like a double-edged sword.  On one hand I have massive indigestion so I pop the Tums...which constipate.  Then I try to increast the fiber, which sometimes causes indigestion!  It's so hard to win!  LOL.  These yogurt drinks don't cause indigestion or gas -- at least not for me.  GL!

  • I think I'm on the all fiber diet, lol!  Fruit, prunes, shredded wheat, fiber bars, and whole wheat pasta.

    Prunes are great!  I got lucky and my OBgyn's assistant gave me a bunch of samples of a pre-natal vitamin that is supposed to have a gentle stool softner in it!  

    Initially I wanted a vitamin with no iodine in it (I suspect high iodine makes me break out worse).  So I ended up with that and a stool softener all in one... LOL Just had my first dose today and hope it works.  It's called NexaSelect (Rx prenatal vitamin w/plant based DHA).
